There is a book (OUT OF PRINT NOW) called RECORD of the ENGLISH LINE of the REREBEE FAMILY with Notations and Comments written by MISS SARAH CASON FEREBEE copyright 1955. You might find a copy in your Library but if not the Currituck Co. Library in North Carolina has a copy. according to this book which is well documented and Miss Ferebee did make a trip to England to research the FEREBEE'S. The word FERRIBY is Danish and refers to the Hamlet at the side of the ferry. The English Line has us as FERBIE, FEREBIE, FERRIBY, FEREBY, FERREBY, FEREBE, FEREBEE.
