Hi I just saw your posting and my husband's grandmother was from Poland, her name was Teckla/Tkla Feret She came to the united states when she married Martin Swiniuch in 1895. The family story goes that her family disowned her when she married Martin. They were a well to do family who had something to do with race horses and thought she married beneth her. Please let me know if any of this sounds familiar
