Hello Joan,

I am not sure if you are responding to the FERGUS heritage in the Carribean or just the FERGUS heritage - two different replies. I do not have any additional information on the FERGUS folk in the Carribean. However, if your query is a general FERGUS one I may have information for you as I work on a One-Name Study for FERGUS and have 6,900+ descendants in my database originating from Francis Fergus (1752-1841), my g-g-g-g-grandfather who is our immigrant ancestor from Co Tyrone, IRE.

Both Albert and James are frequent FERGUS names. Please send me additional information on your lineage. Begin with yourself>name of your father>grandfather>great-grandfather. Please include any birth/death dates along with geographic locations. All these will be clues for me to follow. You may wish to visit the FERGUS Worldwide website and sign the Guest Book so that other cousins may make contact with you. I suggest that you read through the Guest Book first and then post - it will give you a better idea about what information to list to be most helpful in identifying your lineage.
