Hi Cynthia:

Well, it's been four years and I just stumbled upon your response to my 1999 question. Thanks so much for looking into it for me...and apparently others as well who might actually be my cousins. My grandfather, Uriley Henry Fergus, born in Trinidad told me that his father and mother had Monserratian connections. But he said that we were related to the King Fergus of Scotland...I didn't realize until now that the name was actually Irish. Is it originally the same family that lived in both Ireland and Scotland?

I was born in Brooklyn, New York, where many first generation West Indians are born, so perhaps we can identify a group cousins from that source.

Thanks for helping us create a link around the world!
