My great grandmother was Catherine (Kate) Fergus Callaghan.
She was born abt. 1841 in County Mayo. She married Michael Callaghan b.1826 Glenhest, County Mayo. They married abt.1860. My grandmother (their child) was born 1869 in County Mayo and died 1942 in Tarrant Alabama. Her name was Mary Callghan and she married Michael Doherty abt 1898 in Louisville , Ky. My grandparents had 2 children, Edmond James b. abt 1898/99 and my father Raymond Thomas b Feb 1901.
Michael and Catherine (Kate) Callaghan are in the 1901 Burrishoole , County Mayo census with 2 other of their children. They had abt.10 children and 2 sisters are at another address in Burrishooole census. Any relation here?? thanks , Bill Doherty
