1. Trying to find the descendants of J. Barney Ferguson b.1849. Most are located in Screven, Effingham, Chatham, etc. He had 10 children: Hattie, Laura, Sarah Ann, Ida Joyce, George Mamey, Joseph, Samual, Meloney, and Lizzy Jane.
2 Trying to find more of his ancestry, I have as his father, George W. Ferguson b.abt 1830, who was married to Sarah Ann Brooker. I have Sarah's Father and mother, they are William Brooker and Mary Jackson, but I have not been able to establish his parents.
These are all in the Barnwell/Beaufort County area.
I am told a records in that area was all burn by Sherman. The more stumbling blocks I run into because of this idiot, the more I hate him.
I am disabled, on a limited income and cannot do Ancestry ($$$), so I am stuck and do not have access to any commercial resources, to make matters worse.
