Hi Anita,
Thanks for your reply.I, too, have a copy of Evelyn's book.My mother and I helped with some of the information years ago when Evelyn was writing the book.I'm very interested in the information that you gave concerning Obediah, especially the part about:
1790 - was on the Hawkins County, TN voter's list
I know that Hawkins Co. is considered 'Melungeon' territory and I've always thought the the Osborns were possibly Melungeon.
Some of this information I had, but a lot of it was new to me.My mother and I used to laugh and say they just hatched when we couldn't find anything on them.
My line from Joel Martin is through his son Edmund who m. Mary Jane Trout.I have a picture of them that Evelyn gave me.
from there my line goes to their daughter -
Juda Ann Josephine Rebecca Evelyn who m. Henderson Huff
>Laura Huff m. John W. Blankenship
>Ruby Blankenship m. Jesse H. Chaffin
>my mother - Thelma Ruth
Thanks so much for sharing.
Lynda
