There is a book by Charles Augustus Fernald called "The Ancient Fernald Families" published in 1909. But he embellished our ancestry and was reportedly discredited.
Its interesting that the word ancient is mentioned in this Bible from 1588. It appears that "Francisco Funio Fernelius" is a latinized form of writing for Francis Junius Fernel, I saw a similar style written for his father Jean Fernel as "Iohannes Fernelius"
