My name is Bob Fernald Jr.
My dad was Robert,
and my grandparents were Lloyd and Helen.
My great grandparents were Clifford and Amber.
Charles was Lloyd's brother.

Thomaston, May 2.-Commital services for Charles E. Fernald, who was killed Feb. 13, 1945, on Luzon, will be held at 3 30 p. m. Sunday at the West Rockport Cemetery. the Rev, Charles A. MacDonald officiating. Military arrangements will be carried out by William Brazier, Post, AL, Thomaston.
He was born in Rockland May 9. 1920, son of Clifford F. and Amber M. Fernald. he attended the public schools in Rockland, Thomaston and Waterbury Vermont Trade School. He was employed at the Lamson Machine Company for some time.
Nov. 15. 1942, he enlisted in the cavalry at Rutland, VT.; served at Fort Devens, Mass; Fort Riley, Kan; Fort Bliss, Tex; and then went overseas. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
He is survived by his parents, who now reside at Thomaston; one sister, Mrs. Marion Leonard, Rockville, five brothers, LLoyd of Groton, Conn. Everett of Belfast, And Wyvern, Arnold and Phillip of Thomaston.
