Hi Paul,
I found a gedcom on Rootswebs Worldconnect and Ruth did marry a Taylor. She died in 1990 at age 98 in Biddeford, ME. Eliott Fernald and Ruth Dearborn had a son John Fernald who married Lillian M. Knight.
They had 2 daughters:
Ruth Fernald b. Dec 1892 m. Willis F. Carle in 1920
And
Gladys Fernald b. Jan 1894 m.Samuel Gould in 1920
Samuel Gould and Gladys had at least one child Marjorie Gould b. 1925 m. Ambrose Parola in 1943. So the Parola's are the closest relatives to Alfreda on the Fernald side that I can find.
Gladys must have died after 1930 and before 1933 as her sister Ruth 2nd married Samuel Gould in 1933. I'd have to search Saco in the newly released 1940 census to see if they had more children.
