Fernander seems to be an alternate of Finander, and both are Swedish. The "er" ending is correct for this language. There is a listing on RootsWeb that shows this name for someone born in the 1600s who was an assistant vicar. It is written almost entirely in Swedish. Both forms show up on Swedish websites.
