Hello All, Just some observations. 1) Mary A. Fernander who is listed as being born in the Bahamas, may not have been born there. Other censuses list GA as her birth place. Perhaps her father was born in the Bahamas and the census taker wrote the info in the wrong place. 2)Were Samuel C. and William P. related? 3) Were either of them related to James Fernander of Newbery, SC? 4)What do you think about J.J. Finander (age 35) being in the household of John N. Brown (age 28) in the 1850 Census of Campbell County? Is this just coincidence? Also, notice the Mary F. Brown (age 2)-- Is this the Mary A. Brown that married John J. Brown (age 4/12) [son of Williford Brown] later? The ages are correct. This is the only Mary of the correct age that I have foundin the Campbell County census. 5)Is there a will for Mary Fernander (wife of William P. Fernander)?
