While at the library copying some obits for someone, I also obtained a copy of a funeral listing for Mrs. Augustus (Gonsalves) Fernandes
I am in no way related to this person, but thought I would post it just in case someone out there is.

Mrs. Augustus (Gonsalves) Fernandes
The funeral of Mrs. Augustus (Gonsalves) Fernandes, wife of John V. Fernandes, and well known member of the Portuguese-American community, took place yesterday at 9 o'clock from the home of her son-in-law, John F. Silva, 388 Central street and was largely attended. Prayers at her home preceded services at 10 o'clock at the Eliot Union Congregational church, Rev. Joaquim Mendes dos Reis, of the Portuguese mission, officiating.
The bearers were Manuel Vogado, Antonio S. Gomes, Manuel B. Pereira, Manuel S. Neves, John Luz and John Gouveia. Numerous floral offerings required a special car to convey them to the Edson cemetery where the committal service was read by Rev. Mr. Reis. Burial was in the family lot. Arrangements were in charge of Funeral Director Manuel E. Santos.
