Hello. My Feron (Feron) family came from Armagh and settled in Ontario Canada. Some moved on to the States. One of my gandmother's brothers was born in Illinois according to a census form I saw online. The area where I think they lived in Armagh is Tandragee. I have also been told that their parish was Kilmore Parish. Both spellings of the Faron name have been found on the headstones of my family along with the Farron spelling.
As close as I can find out, the feron family from whom I came from came to Canada around the 1850s. Ellen Feron was the wife of Francis Feron. I have seen Ellen's grave. Her son, James is buried next to her. She was born in the early 1800s. I have a date of 1806 but cannot verify that. Other children that came to Canada with her are Francis Jr., Patrick, Ann, and Elizabeth
