Ok correction here, apologies.
Jean ( Or through out his life, John, Giovanni, Jean) Baptiste Ferrari was born 1892. Mother Marina Domendietti.
Its his father I am looking for who I had thought was named Jean
It is in fact:

Francois Ferrari or Ferrara born circa 1860

On marrying Marina her married name is Ferrari but on birth certificate for Jean Baptiste he signs it Ferrara!
His son John,Jean,Giovanni on marraige used Ferrari also which was his mother married name & his surname.

Francois is one tough cookie to track down!
