Ken, I can't help you with the Gibboney connection, sorry. The Bible find is interesting!

But I do have two other questions for you:

1. Would you mind posting the names and dates for the children of John (b. 1812) and Anna? I did not have them in my database and would like to include them. (I had John, but not his wife, and not children.)

2. Is your Shaeffer branch connected to / through John W. Shaeffer, born abt 1821 in PA, and died after 1900 in Sterling, Whiteside, Illinois? I found an old newpaper article (several, actually) detailing JW's trip to Lancaster for the Ferree-LeFevre reunion in 1896, and I have been trying to figure out how he is connected. He named one of his children Ferree, too. He was married to "Eliza G." and I got excited at first by your posting, thinking that perhaps the G stood for Gibboney. But you are talking about an older John. There are too many John Shaeffer's (not to mention others with alternate spellings) and I haven't been able to figure out his line of descent.

In the meantime, as I search Schaeffer docs, I'll keep an eye out for Gibbony. Maybe by working at it from two different directions, we might come across some information that would help the other.
