Please cite any documents you have BEFORE 1716 excluding her PA Will of 1716 that states where Maria Warenbaur was addressed as any spelling of Madame Ferree. I can not find any documents in Germany or the Colonies to date that address her as anything except Warenbaur (all spellings). I would be interested in your research so I can order copies of this documented name change.

Apparently, Wikipedia's informant has not done any research on earlier French naming customs. They are citing from a broad base of knowledge from a much later time period other than 1681. Anyone is free to write comments on Wikipedia which means it is not a very reliable source of documentation for 1681. It is a place to start for newer laws.
