Lyon, Ammidon, Wood, Ferren family connections, CT, VT, NY, IL, IA

Received box of old papers and pictures from family member. In box was original deed dated 6-13-1787 from Jabez Lyon to Ruben Ammidon, Woodstock, Windham Co., Ct. for property set out in Woodstock to his late father, John Lyon in division of estate of grandfather, Jabez Lyon. Acknowledged by Elisha Child, Justice of the Peace. Deed is in very good shape and must have been important to someome in my family. Am trying to make the connection with my relatives who were Jehial Wood (born 1820 in Jefferson Co. NY) married to Mary 'Polly' Ferren (born 1823 Lima, Livingston Co. NY.) Children were: Marcus Wood, William A. Wood, Emma (Brandon, Chambers), Ida (Owens), Flora (Farley) and Martha 'Kip' (Myers, Shedenhelm). The family moved to Sheffield, IL and then to Iowa by 1868.
I have been able to trace both the Lyon family back & the Ammidon family back, but not forward to connect with my Wood or Ferren family. Jabez Lyon married Mehetable Woodward and moved to Vt in 1787, about the same time a number of Wood families located there. A number of Lyons and Woods then later move to Jefferson Co NY (which is where my ancestor was born).
