My name is Daniel Ferro and I live in Gibraltar. My earliest known ancestor is Esteban / Stefano / Stephen who according to records originated from Genoa. However, I suspect that he may have emigrated from Genoa but not necessarily from there. In Gibraltar records the earliest recorded Ferro is JOHN / JUAN / GIOVANNI / GIANNI who arrived in Gibraltar in the 18th century. Interlinking names are Scicluna and Macchiavello. Anyone out there can contribute to my quest, particulary as I am keen to establish the heraldic Ferro crest.
