Hello James,

Per my FEAVER/FEVER One Name Study, Ella, born in the Faversham district, was the daughter of Walter FEVER and Ella J (or G) PACKMAN, and married Walter COWDRAY in the Sittingbourne district. I gather you have the references?

Walter E. FEVER married Ella G PACKMAN in the Faversham district in 1922.

He was Walter Edward FEVER, born in 1893 in the Faversham district.

The 1901 Census index indicates his parents were George and Emma FEVER who were then residing in the Faversham district, aged 41 and 40, respectively.

George Charles FEVER married Emma Jane FEVER [perhaps his cousin; she was too young to be a widowed sister-in-law] in the Faversham district in 1878. Based on their stated ages in 1901, they would have been born in approximately 1859/1860 and 1860/1861.

The likeliest birth records for this couple are:

1859 Dec FEVER Charles Faversham 2a 605
OR
1860 Dec FEVER George Milton 2a       563

and

1860 Jun FEVER Emma Jane Sheppey 2a 590

George C FEVER died in 1938, reference 1938 Dec 79 Faversham 2a 1364

Emma's death reference is 1947 Sep Sittingbourne 5b 569, in the name Emma J FEVER.

I'm inclined to think the birth in 1859 of Charles FEVER is the one you want; he may have taken up the name George to separate himself from a Charles FEVER father, uncle or cousin or grandfather, or in memory of a deceased relation. [I've seen this happen before].

I can't as yet help you trace what became of Ella and her husband, but if you wish for more information on her ancestral lines and are happy to donate infomation to my One Name Study, I will be happy to help.

Cheers,

Heather Johnson
