I am not a FEWLASS/FEWLESS descendant, but many people with this name are my half-cousins. Jane BROWN (abt.1815-?), my 3rd great-grandmother, was married twice: once to George FEWLASS (1805-abt.1845) and then to my ancestor Charles SMITH (abt.1812-?). At the time of George's death, from what I've found, all were living in the vicinity of Naples, Ontario County, NY. Jane and Charles are listed as married, with at least two children of their own, in 1850.
I'm seeking either the death date of George FEWLASS, or the marriage date of Jane BROWN and Charles SMITH, in order to determine which of the children listed with them on the 1850 census page are theirs and which were children of Jane and George.
Jane's full first name may be Mary Jane, as her daughter's death record names her as Mary BROWN.
