Am looking for any family members of Dorothea Fick born in Germany in September 1806 and died in Harrison township, Kandiyohi County, MN in 1902. Dorothea immigrated in 1864 along with her son, Wilhelm (or William). Family stories are that they initially settled in Wisconsin. It is also said that their name was Vick and that while in WI it was changed to Fick. According to the 1900 Census Dorothea had 2 children and both were living. Dorothea was my great-great grandmother and her son Wilhelm was my great- grandfather. Wilhelm was born in December 1843 in Germany. I am looking for any information that might verify the name change and any information regarding Dorothea's husband and other child?
