Jon,

Hi,

I am Rudy Gieschen in Wilmington,NC and there were a lot of Germans who came here. In fact, my county, New Hanover, was named for Hannover Germany.
I am looking for Gieschens from Ganrrenburg.
If run across any of them, have them c0ontact me at this e-mail address.

Anyhow, I don't know the Fick side of the family very well. I know my grandmother was Henrietta Fick and one of 8 brothers and sisters. Other family names in the German community were Garms,Glaymeyer,Vollers, Ahern
Rehder, and I can't think of the others right now. See if St Pauls Lutheran Church here in Wilmington has some information. I know a friend of mine was trying to do the geneology of the church.

So keep an eye out for any Gieschens from Gnarrenburg and have them get in touch with me!

Rudy

Hope this helps.
