Jon - My great-grandfather was Phillip Ficks, b. Bavaria 1836 and came to U.S. in l843 with his father, Frederick Ficks b. Frankfort, married to Eve. I don't know if this is near where you live. I am also researching my Haemish line, also born in Germany. John Haemish was born in Wattenburg and came to U.S. in 1837. I have not been able to locate any other Haemish's. Do you know anyone of this name? Thanks for any info you can give me.

Joyce
