hi i am rachael gieschen, my grandmother siste was fick married in to fick when i saw oprince wm county i remembered my unle peter fick worked for the telephone co i believe he ritired from them in the late 1950/early 1960. i don't the marriage info.somewhere in the brains rear prtion i keep hearin i think he did have children, this branch of ficks came to wilmington nc, my home town maybe i can help you since there 9 ficks children, my grand mother wasone of these ficks, she married rudolph h gieschen and she was henrietta fick, they had two son rudolhp and nick.the grand parents died within 3 days on each other in the spanish flu when it hit wilmington my dad and his brothers were orphaned. dad was 6 and uncle nick was 6 mos. theer grand mother raised them with the help of otherd in the family.
