To "linnea"

I am searching for the german background to Jost and Valentine Fickes, and I see here you say they may be from Bavaria. Please, help me if you know more. I just have where they landed in America, boat names, and dates. Jost was married to Hanna Regina Baier, and have not info. on
Valentine other than info. on 2 recorded deeds where he gave Yost (same as Jost?) chattel, animals, bed, hemp and corn. These 2 are the original in my family tree and would be so wonderful to trace them to origin in Europe.
I was born in Texas, now living in Sweden for 27 years, and would appreciate anything. Your name is very Swedish, by the way. Thanking you in advance.
