Valentine Ficus b-1709 Palatinate Germany came to America on the Ship "Mortenhouse" in 1729. He was not born in America. The name Ficus/Fickas/Fickes family is included in the Lingenfelter Family Tree---a very good genealogical source back to 1500s in Germany---includes some Imler family info also.
I am a descendant of Isaac Sr. and Rachel of Fickes Farm, Bedford Co., PA. (Valentine PA, Isaac Sr PA, Jacob Sr PA, Jacob Jr PA-OH-MO-CA, George CA, and Lilburn Imler Fickes CA)
