Hi Mary
Here is what I have on JACOB FICKES, b. 26 Oct 1785 to
Isaac Fickes (1749-1827) and Rachel Asper (1752-1824)
in Huntington Twp, Adams Co, PA, christened on 20 Aug
1786. Married Rosanna LINGENFELTER. Died 17 Apr 1848
buried on Moses Farm, King TWP, Bedford Co, PA.

Rosanna Lingenfelter born 1794 died 1868, parents
GEORGE A LINGENFELTER and MARGARET DIVELY (1764-1842)
all from Germany then Hagerstown Maryland then PA.
Sister of Rosanna is CATHERINE LINGERFELTER (1786-1827)
married Jacob FICKES' brother, SOLOMON FICKES (1782-1861).

Bedford Co and Somerset Co has some historical societies
that you could contact, the FICKES family has been in this
region since 1700 and some relatives still remain as well
as the old burial grounds on the FICKES FARM.
Also check the LDS familysearch site, there are lots of
FICKES families at site plus at the LDS library archives.
Contact me at surfsudscor@aol.com if you need any other info.
Liz Lovell
