One of my ancestors, Ezra Briggs, married (intent) Elizabeth Fickett 12 January, 1812, in Portland. Per a Briggs genealogy, and partially confirmed by vital records, children included Abigail "Jurden" (Jordan?") born Portland 18 May 1813, and Nathaniel F. Briggs born 6 May 1820 in Hanover, Plymouth, Mass. Census records consistently indicate that Elizabeth was born ca. 1792. Her death record appears to be inaccurate with respect to her age, and does not indicate parents.
I suspect that Nathaniel and Abigail were named for her parents, and have noted per a Jordan genealogy that there were a lot of Fickett-Jordan couples out of Cape Elizabeth.
Any information or research that might apply would be appreciated.
