Fideli is my married name. my husband's family came to America in the early 1910's and 1920's from Germany. Fideli is a very unusual name, at least here in the States. I am unclear on how the family ended up with the name, since my husband's grandfather was german, born in Munich sometime in the late 1800's. My husband's grandfather was named Angelo Fideli...clearly an Italian first name, but he was german...My husband's grandmother was Antonitte Munertto, she was born in Italy. please e-mail me and let me know more of your family info. Clearly, I am sure there is some connection.
