I can't say I am going to be much help. It has been like pulling teeth to find any information. The furthest back I go is to a Joseph Fieger, b. abt 1800. He lived in Pittsburgh and I am not sure if he was born there or arrived there. I am waiting on some paperwork. My Uncle Tom (Fieger) helped build the ellis island immigration records exhibit that just opened a couple days ago. He said there were 39 records of Fiegers who came over, it shows the point of origin, where they were going to live and a picture of the boat they came over on. You can also access it by going to I tried it and too many people were accessing it so I could not get on. The downside to this is I think it starts at 1899. My relatives were already here, but, they may have had relatives come over later. You may want to check it out.
