1881 census - if you have not got this I am pretty sure that this is your family:
Living at Little Clegg Butterworth (which I think is near Rochdale on the Walsden side near a station called Smithy Bridge)

Hannah his wife 43 born Walsden (as were al the children below except the last:

Anges born Butterworth aged 4
Probably (but there are other John Williams around but this one lives at Butterworth)
