FIELDER FAMILIES
My name is Francis Wayne Fielder (Frank), MSgt, USAF-Retired.I am originally from Dakota Territory, but have resided in the "The City Beautiful" Orlando, Florida via Philadelphia, PA for the past 34 years. I am a descendent of many ancestors listed in these websites;Jean Francois Xavier Baptiste Richard aka John Richard (Reshaw) who guided wagon trains from eastern Wyoming to Salt Lake City in the 1840s-50s, to "Big Bat" Pourier who rode with Major General George Crook as a Sibley Scout, Interpreter, Guide, and witness to Indian Peace Treaties. They married my Great-great-great & GG-Grandmothers who were Full or mixed Lakota of the Sicangu, Oglala, and Minneconjou bands. Now I am searching for information on another GGG-grandfather, William Fielder.William Fielder may have come from Missouri, possibly Kansas, or maybe even Nebraska. He made it to Fort Bennett (Present day Pierre, SD) along the Missouri River o/a 1860s.William also served as an interpreter and witness to Indian Peace Treaties as his signature is on the Treaty of 1876 at the Cheyenne River Agency as a witness for the Lakota of that area by the Missouri River. He married Kate Itoyoha of the Sans Arc Teton Sioux.William may have had two brothers, Thomas and Comodore?I thank you in advance for any assistance you may render in this search.
