This is a deed I found in Green Co., KY. Whereas on the 26th Oct. 1837 Mason BISHOP ____ a Deed of Mortgage to Drury FIERS upon One hundred & twenty-five acres of land to secure the payment of One hundred & sixty-five Dollars due by the said Mason BISHOP to the said D. FIERS and whereas since said Mortgage was executed said Drury FIERS has departed this life, and since his death said sum of One hundred & sixty-five Dollars has been fully paid & discharged to Anthony FIERS his son and Administrator, Now and for the consideration of which the said Anthony FIERS as admn. as assigned hereby releases _____ and reconveys said One hundred & twenty-five acres of land unto the said Mason BISHOP his heirs and assignees forever, the said Consideration for which said Mortgage was given having been paid to me. I as an admn as afs therefore relinquishes all the claim which I have upon said land Mortgage is hereby declared null & void. In W___ so whereof the said Anthony FIERS as admn as assigned have herewith set his hand & seal this 6th day of April 1846. Anthony Fiers (seal) Adm. of Drury FIERS, deceased Kentucky ____ I John BARRET clerk of the Green County Court Certify the the Anthony FIERS as adm of Drury FIERS, deceased personally appreared before me in my office on the 6th day of April 1846 and acknowledged the foregoing release of mortgage to Mason BISHOP to be his act & deed & the same with this Certificate have truly recorded in my office this 7th day of April 1846. John Barret, clerk [Note – Andrew ARNETT sold this land to Mason BISHOP, who sold it to Drury FIERS, who’s estate sold it back to Mason BISHOP in 1846.
