C.J. Please contact me by E-Mail. I think your father was the son of Herman B. Fiers and his first wife, Mary Champion. I have heard that when Orville's father married his second wife, he was treated rather badly and that was the reason he left home at such an early age. Herman B. was the son of John Wiley Fiers and wife, Annie Belle Edmonds.
John Wiley Fiers was the son of John Fiers and his wife, Eunice Daniel. John Fiers was the son of William Fiers and wife, Elizabeth Spencer. William was a Revolutionary War soldier who settled in Livingston County in about 1820.

And for Deb. John Wiley Fiers had another son, James F. Fiers who married Mintie Ann King. They had a son by the name of Orville, so the two Orville's were first cousins.
