Hi Colleen. I am very interested in your Mary Fiers. There are very few us in the country, even today, much less in 1777. We did have a family in Sussex County, Va at least as early as 1760, and some were known to have moved into Halifax Co., NC during the 1790s. I am tempted to say your Mary Fiers had to come from our family. However, I can see no obvious way she would have been there that early. Do you have any scrap of information you could add about her. What location and in what kind of record did you locate her. Thanks for anything you might add.
Russ
