Re-reading my response to your first message, I fear I might have been a little harsh on you. Probably because I felt defensive about being accused of being a newbie!
Anyway, I apologize for the tone of my message. I really do appreciate your attempt to help and I do think your website can be a valuable aid to both newbies and more experienced researchers.
I too get frustrated at times. One of my pet peeves is when someone takes a couple of months or so to respond to an e-mail, and then doesn't quote any of the original exchange so I can't tell what the heck they are talking about. I get about 30 genealogy e-mails a day, and it's hard to go back and search through hundreds of them to find out who is being discussed in a message like: "Cousin Jim died last January".
I have also seen many queries of the type that you discuss on your webpage. I really should have included more information in mine on here, but because for me the Fifield/Fiefield surname is so rare, I thought I could take a shortcut.
I doubt that anything I mentioned in my previous message is valuable enough to post on your website or original enough that I should be cited as the source, but you are welcome to use anything you want.
Thanks again and good luck with your searches!
