Louisa Arbella Fifield Bishop was said to have died from a diphtheria epidemic on 27-Sep-1876, born 25-Mar-1854. As did a younger son, Loren Milo Bishop died 18-Jun-1883, born 6-Apr-1876. These dates were written in the old writing style with a very diluted ink on a piece of paper handed down from my Mother. Mother said her Grandmother Emma Louise Bishop was from Holland,MI. Emma's death certificate says Benton Harbor,MI born 9-Aug-1876, died 4-Feb-1958 Tulsa,OK. with Hattie Fairfield(?) as Mother.
Louisa's Daughter, Emma Louise Bishop, survived but was given away by her Father Chancy (marriage license), Chauncy (Mother & Uncle), or Yancy (Aunt) Bishop, to a Preacher (7 Day Adventist) family with the last name Simmons or Simons. The Father Chancey Bishop told Emma he could not care for her on his own, she believed he too was dying.
The Preacher and family brought Emma Bishop across the nation in a covered wagon to reside in Van Beuran,AR where she went to school. Emma Bishop always claimed to have been kidnapped, but letters from her Grandparents said other. Emma worked for a local doctor after becoming pregnant from a rape by her teacher. At the age of 14 a son, Roy Bishop, was born. When Roy was 7 Emma married Charles Valentine 'Volly' Carter. They Lived and died in Tulsa, OK. I am their Great Granddaughter. Both died in the 1950's.
When Roy had to sign up for SSI, he called Arkansas from Tulsa to acquire his birth certificate. They told Roy a Fathers name had to be listed, he asked his Mother what to say, "Give them my Father's name". I still have not found the document or his SS#. This was heard by his son and daughter-in-law who were all in the room together.
I found a marriage license in Barry County, Chancy L. residence as Irving,MI age 22 and Louisa A. Fifield residence as Hastings,MI age 18 dated 1-22-1872, Book C-49. No other family names appear on the document. It is very hard to read. There is writing copied from the back of the original onto the front of the license obscuring the main writting.

Thank you for taking the time to read my exhausting story. I just wanted to be sure every piece of information that might be needed was offered.

Names we are trying to following up with:
Emma Louise Bishop b.9-Aug-1876 d.4-Feb-1958
Louisa Arbella Fifield Bishop b.25-Mar-1854 d.27-Sep-1876
Chancy L. Bishop b.1850?
Loren Milo Bishop b.6-Apr-1876 d.18-Jun-1883
