Hi Ann, my 3X great aunt Sarah Bowers married John T. Figary in Oxford in 1834 so I am really not a descendent of the Figary family but became very interested as the Bowers and Figary families have quite a history. Example, your Daniel murdered my great grandfather Millard here in the neighborhood where I now live back in 1904. I have lots of info on the Figary and Bowers clans if you would like to share your side. Which one of Dan's children do you descend from? If you have a Tilyou line - my great grandmother was Flora Tilyou Mathewson. I have little on where John T. came from - just looked at his Will yesterday at the Surrogates Office but gained no new information. Are you from this area? I live in North Norwich, Chenango, NY. Also have a friend Sally Childs Chirlin who thinks she might have wend to school with you. Looking forward to hearing from you. I have another Figary descendent who is working on John T. also.
