I posted the data from "Figg Leaves" 1980 by Eula Haskaarl & Don Matson. I do not have information on this line. You will have to take the information & find the records in the counties of Ind mentioned.
I descend from 2 daus of John Figg Sr & Elizabeth Mitchell Figg: dau Nancy Ann b 1793 m Joseph Medcalf 1811 Nelson Co (oldest dau) & Milly Figg (youngest dau) m#1 Joseph Essex Jr (my 3rd GGps) & m #2 John Baird.
Then my 2nd GGpts:
Nancy Ann Metcalf (d/o Joseph & Nancy) m J. Wesley Essex (s/o Joseph Jr & Milly Figg). This is on my paternal Grandfather's side.
Another 2nd GGm:
Elizabeth Medcalf (d/o Joseph & Nancy) m Benedict Jenkins 1839 Hardin Co- this is on my paternal Grandmother's side.
Whick gives me 3 distinct lines to John Figg Sr & his #2 wife Elizabeth Mitchell. So am very interested in finding John & Elizabeth's ancestors, etc.
Any help that you can give me with the Basel Hayden bunch will be greatly appreciated. Maybe you can point me in the right direction!!!
Have some notations of Berkeley Co, Va (now W. Va records) from "Figg Leaves" that I will be glad to share. Don't know if other Counties records have been done or not, or just Berkeley Co.(once part of "Old" Frederick Co) but somehow I think Hampshire C0, Va may also be involved. Don't know history of that area very well. Guess I will have to learn it!!!
