Have an interest in unusual names and saw this in book
" Along the Way" by Margaret Hasting
Joseph Figg came to British Columbia in 1879 from Marsworth England leaving family of five with relatives as his wife had died. He in late thirties at the time .. Killed by falling tree in 1883. Mentions also oldest son William -came to BC in 1883 to take over farm. later came brother George age 16 and sister Priscilla, Polly and Nell. and some further history of the family in the White Rock area of Biristh Columbia. If this is your family , am happy to copy same and send to you. There is also two pictures. Kathy
