John Figg & wife immigrated 1784 to Nova Scotia--
reference: Nova Scotia Immigrants to 1867; Smith & Smith,
Baltimore Gen. Pub. Co, 1996; p 343. (Interesting to note:
Daniel Essex 1784 to Nova Scotis is also listed in the same
source-see Essex surname list as I will post the data

Question: Is it possible that this is the John Figg SR that we are all looking for?? I hate to suppose because
someone will take it for fact until it is proven as such.

It would not be beyond the possiblility that they went into
Nova Scotia & ended up in Va--even tho there were Figgs in
Isle of Wright Co, Va ca 1669 (1992 IGI Index gives Figg
births of that time frame/place). I do not have access to
the records of Va to prove/disprove this data.

Either way--the spelling of the name varies & not always
FIGG as the available data for a FIGG surname search just
isn't there!!! Have seen Figg, Figgs, Fleig, Fogg, Fagg,
Fig, Feg.

For sure--they were somewhere IF we can find them!!!
