Yes, Daniel Figg was the son of John Figg. Born 1790 in Maryland. John Figg bought property in northern Montgomery County, Maryland, in 1803. After John Figg's death in 1817, Daniel Figg moved to Hagerstown, MD (he is listed as such in the 1820 Census). After that, he moved his family to Michigan.

Daniel Figg is my great, great grandfather.

I've been told that our branch of the Figg family migrated to this country in the mid-1770s. I am not sure if John Figg was the one who migrated or if his father was the one.
