Hi Gary!
John H. and Christina A. Figg are my ggg-grandparents. According to the Pension Application of a Confederate Widow, they were born 03/04/1872 in Glouchester County, VA. According to correspondence from the state of Virginia, John enlisted 5/24/1861 and defected 4/4/1865. I suspect that John served faithfully and surrendered only when the Southern cause seemed doomed. I have also learned that John went insane, possibly due to "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" as we call it today. Anyway, I would very much like to hear what you know about John and Christina.

p.s. Lucy V. was my gg-grandmother.

Chris
