I am hoping to make a connection with any distant relatives I may have out there.
My G Grandfather, John Figlar, was born in Hungary in 1878. He came over with his wife, Mary, who was born in 1885. They had 3 children: John, Victor, and Margaret. They settled in Brooklyn, NY. The elder John died in 1956, and Mary died in 1981.
I have been told that their name was originally Figlyar, and it was changed to Figlar some time after arriving in the USA.
Anyone out there?
