Files Family from Virginia to Texas

I am a descendant of Capt. John Files,Sr. and Mary Catherine Manley, of Augusta County, Virginia. John was the son of Robert and Elizabeth Files (Foyles).
Robert Files and his brother-in-law, David Tygart (Taggart), loaded their families and moved from Augusta County, Va., over the Alleghany Mountains to settle on a branch of the Monongahela River. Robert built his home at the mouth of a creek, later named Files Creek, that is today the location of Beverly, Randolph County, W. Va. David built his home a few miles up river of the Files'. Around October of 1754, John Files, the eldest son of Robert, was away from the cabin in the woods. He Heard the cries of his family and ran to the edge of the woods, there he saw his entire family mother, father, and five siblings being killed by Indians. Knowing that he alone could not save them, he ran up river to his Uncle's home. There he and David Tygart, loaded David's family up and took off for the Mountains. John went with Tygart's back across the Alleghany's and back to Augusta County, Virginia.
John Files, along with three of his sons, fought in the American Revolution. It is kind of ironic though, that John, the only survivor of an Indian attack as a boy, was killed in 1781 by Indians and Tories.
It is descendant's of John that settled Files Valley, Hill County, Texas. I would be happy to share my info with anybody interested.
