I am searching for a FILES family that lived in Lawrence Co OH. JOHN FILES married NANCY JOY. The "Joy Family Cemetery" is located in Cabal Co, West Virginia across the river from Athalia, OH. Her headstone says she is the wife of John Files. The family Bible of Joseph Joy and Elizabeth White has her name spelled Foiles.
She died 12 Jan 1848.

Another earlier entry in the Bible lists Margaret Foyles. I haven't found that name anywhere. She died 11 January 1828.

In the courthouse records of the settlement of John Joy's estate is also the name of Daniel Files. Across the river in Caball County marriages a Joseph Files married Hannah Ansel on 5 March 1835. It is obvious that the three families are connected often.

I am finding the info on these folk scarce. If you can help, I would appreciate it.
