Betty, are you directly related to Eleanor Files Patch? You mentioned your line beginning with William Files to son William Files and downward. I have no further information on the son of The Old Ranger, William Files's son, William, nor do I have information on Joanna Gordon Moore, married to The Old Ranger. I would love to know more on either. I have a letter from Eleanor Files Patch, 1963, which was in the possession of my husband's mother when she passed. It seems that my husband's grandmother was a cousin to Eleanor Files Patch. Would you have dates and places of birth, death, marriage, burial on the parents of William Files, The Old Ranger, Joanna Gordon Moore, their son William and his wife, etc.? I am also researching the Temple side of the family and have nothing any further back than Joseph Temple, b. 1819 in Montville, ME, m. to Mary Ann Files, daughter of Ebenezer Scott Files. "Maryann", per Eleanor Files Patch, is mentioned in a family bible in Aroostock County, but I am not sure if it was a Boultbee or a Temple bible, if either. If you can help me out with any further information, I would greatly appreciate it.
