Do you know if your grandparents ever lived in Akron, OH?

My grandfather came to the US from Germany in 1925. His destimation (per the ship manifest) was Akron, OH. He later moved to Erie, PA, where my mother was born, then to Buffalo, NY where he died March 14, 1936. My mother was his only child.

I know of no reason to leave Germany bound for Akron, unless he had relatives there. He was a printer by trade.
