From "The Semi-Weekly Farm News" newspaper printed Dallas, TX Jan 5, 1932 p. 6

Five Firemen were injured at an East Dallas Fire on Jan 1, 1932 by a falling wall at a warehouse of the Leigh Banana Case Company at Trunk, South Dallas, TX.

Their decision to back away from the inferno with open hoses most likely saved many injuries and possible lives.

Those injured were:

J R HIGGINS #2 Truck, Central Station received a wrenched back and numerous bruises and abrasions.

W W Busby #3 Engine Company received slight concussion and a head laceration.

CAPT. C W DABNEY Engine Company #3 received bruises.

J T FILLINGHAM Driver for Fair Park Station received bruises.

LIEUT. J E WHITEHEAD of Central Station received bruises.

The article gives a little more information on the fire, but no more about the people.

I have no further information besides the article itself.

I hope this will help someone searching for family. SR
